Fashion shoes to kick off spring

By Jessie Gorges, editor

New season means new shoes. It’s time update that wardrobe for spring with bright colored flats and snake-skin heels. Here are some new shoe trends for spring 2010.

Gladiator shoes: I doubt you’ll be fighting any Romans with these strappy sandals, but they will add that high-end fashion look to your mini-skirt or mini-dress. $14.99 at Burlington Coat Factory

Bright suede pumps: Feel like Elvis in the blue suede shoes, or rather heels. Dress them down with some skinny jeans, or dress them up with a fun mini-dress. $23.99 at Burlington Coat Factory

Eccentric flats: Make a statement with some funky flats. Although these are not a new trend, shoe manufactures seem to be finding creative ways to keep these comfortable shoes in style. Try to find a matching purse and flats and add it your favorite black dress. $14.99 at Burlington Coat Factory

Peep toe booties: These shoes made it big in fall 2009 but continue to be a must-have for your spring wardrobe. Though you may have to get that pedicure before slipping these on, they are great addition to your favorite spring outfit. $22.99 at Burlington Coat Factory

Snake skin heels: These exotic stilettos give you height and slims those legs. Add class to your spring outfit by finding a matching handbag. $14.99 at Burlington Coat Factory
